How to Choose Wisely (3 Questions)

If you're a small food or beverage producer shopping for a glass bottle packing machine or any filling equipment, ask yourself these questions instead of "What's the fastest filler I can afford?":

  1. What's my actual weekly volume? If it's under 2,000 bottles, a fully automatic filler is likely overkill.
  2. Do I have the space for a full production line? Measure your actual floor area and add 50% for workflow.
  3. How many SKUs will I run? Every product changeover costs time. If you have 5+ flavors, a simpler machine might be faster overall.

I can only speak to small-scale food production (think bakeries, juice bars, craft beverage startups). If you're running a proper water bottle filling plant with 10,000+ units per day, the calculus is different.

My Honest Take

The right chinese filling machine manufacturer isn't the one with the cheapest quote or the fanciest brochure. It's the one who asks you about your workflow, your space, your team. That's a vendor worth keeping.

For us, the $3,800 semi-auto machine was the answer. Your mileage may vary—especially if you're in dairy, beer, or anything carbonated—but the principle holds: match the machine to your real bottleneck, not the spec sheet.
