If your production line is down and you need marking equipment in 48 hours, skip the sticker-price rabbit hole. The best laser marking machine is the one that matches your substrate and has a service tech who can reach you before the next shipment. For most metal parts, that's fiber laser marking. For organics, glass, and coated paper, it's a laser marking machine CO2. For heat-sensitive plastics and medical packaging, it's a UV laser marking machine. For high-speed date codes on curved or porous surfaces, you need an industrial CIJ printer supplier with local parts, not just a low cost CIJ printer.
That's the short version. Here's why I'd stake a client deadline on it.
